In this part of the book, interactions of characters introduced in Parts I and II reveal more about how others perceive Raskolnikov's philosophies and how he himself reflects on his actions.
Both Raskolnikov and Razumihin are former students. However, they are also very different. They're different in the way in which they go by dealing with their poverty. Razumihin doesn't take from others, while Raskolnikov takes from others.
Raskolnikov and Razumihin are foils in the story. Rodya is a psycho path and mean while Razumihin in nice and caring. He took care of rodya while he was ill. Rodya did something drastic and is letting it take over his mind and is now suffering from mental withdrawals. He's mean and is not willing to confess. They're basically the complete opposite but they are friends. I
Raskolnikov and razumihin are foils. Razumihin is head over heels in love with dounia while Ras couldn't care less about love. Raz is more calm and Ras is more irrational and emotional.
Jahreal- Raskolnikov and Razumihin are foils for each other.Raskolnikov is an emotionless murder that has little compassion and feels like a lone wolf . Where as Razumihin is the exact opposite. He is kinda,helpful and compassionate

DeleteRodya isn't like Dounya because she's compassionate and as of now he isn't loving at all. Razumihin helps protect Dounya and cares for her.
